Men's Hockey Incoming Class: Miles Wood

Incoming Eagle Miles Wood is Boston College's fifth forward of the 2015-16 recruiting class and has already skated with some current Eagles as recent as last December. 
The 6-foot-1 physical presence not only had a prolific scholastic career and Noble and Greenough, but he has also played alongside Thatcher Demko, Noah Hanifin, Ian McCoshen and Alex Tuch as a member of the U.S. National Junior Team. 
Wood made Team USA's roster that participated in the 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship in Canada that advanced to the quarterfinals and played  
The Buffalo, N.Y., native graduated from Noble and Greenough, only playing in four games this past season but notched three goals and five assists within that time. In 2013-14, Wood broke out for 54 points, including 29 goals and 25 assists, averaging over two points per game. Wood skated in 28 games that season. The season prior, the incoming freshman scored 18 points (8-10-18) in 15 outings.
Wood is one of three incoming Eagles to have already been drafted as the western New Yorker was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the fourth round (100th) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Hockey runs in the family as his father, Randy, played four seasons of hockey at Yale and went on to an 11-year career in the National Hockey League while his brother, Tyler, will be a junior on the Brown hockey team this fall.
