Lewis, Bermuda Fall In World Cup Qualifying

NORTH SHORE VILLAGE, Bermuda - Zeiko Lewis and the Bermuda National Team lost to Guatemala on aggregate scoring, 1-0, in the second round of CONCACAF 2018 World Cup qualifying.
The two sides played to a scoreless draw on Friday night in Guatemala in a match that was interrupted by a blackout. In the second leg of the series at Bermuda National Stadium, Stefano Giordanoa scored in the 27th minute and Guatemala held of Bermuda the rest of the way to advance to the next round.
Lewis started all four matches for Bermuda during the World Cup qualifying stage. Bermuda defeated the Bahamas which featured fellow Eagle Dylan Pritchard, 8-0 in aggregate scoring, in the first round. Lewis scored a goal in the 30th minute in a 5-0 win on March 25. It was his first career international goal.
Lewis hails from Pembroke, Bermuda and has been named to the All-ACC Second team both seasons at BC. Lewis, the 2013 ACC Freshman of the Year, has six goals and 14 assists in 34 career matches.
