Women's Tennis Defeats NC State, 6-1

Raleigh, N.C.- Boston College put together a strong performance Friday afternoon, defeating NC State, 6-1.
The Eagles snagged an early advantage in the doubles competition. Lexi Borr and Jessica Wacnik improved to 14-2 on the season with an 8-4 win. Asiya Dair and Wan-Yi Sweeting paired up for the second time, grabbing their first victory of the season, 8-7.
In the singles competition, Boston College took five out of the six matches. Emily Safron improves to an impressive 10-8 this season.
"Today's match was humid, sunny and windy," said head coach Nigel Bentley. "We have not played outside much and I thought we did a great job dealing with the conditions. I'm very proud of everybody effort."
Boston College will return to action on Easter Sunday against Wake Forest.
