Westphal Earns Indoor Track All-ACC Academic Spot

Chestnut Hill, Mass. -- Senior Liv Westphal has been named to the Indoor Track All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference this afternoon. Westphal is the lone representative from Boston College to earn the honor. This is the second year in a row that she has been named to the team.
Westphal's season for the Eagles has been one for the record books. During the indoor season, she broke the BC record in both the 3000 and 5000 meters, often shattering the previous times. The Limoges, France native set a new French National record in the 5000 with her time of 15:31.52 at the BU Opener in December. She competed at the highest level at both the ACC Championships in late February and the NCAA Championships in mid-March.
All-ACC Academic Team spots are awarded to student-athletes that a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for their entire academic career. On this year's team, every athlete earned All-ACC and/or All-American athletic honors.
