
Women's Tennis Falls to No. 1 UNC, 5-2

Chestnut Hill, Mass.- No. 59 Boston College faced off against No. 1 North Carolina Friday afternoon, losing 5-2.
Jessica Wacnik shined respectively on Senior Day, defeating No. 6 Jamie Loeb.
Wan-Yi Sweeting battled with Cassandra Vazquez in the No. 6 spot, defeating her, 4-6, 6-4, 1-0.
With this win, North Carolina completes a perfect 26-0 season. Head coach Nigel Bentley thought his girls put up a good fight.
"I thought we played well against the No. 1 ranked team in the country," he said. "UNC is so talented and so well coached, but our players competed very well. Obviously it was very special for Jess (Wacnik) to defeat one of the top players in the country on her Senior Day. I am pretty certain this is the highest nationally ranked player a BC women's tennis player has ever defeated."
The Eagles closed out the 2015 regular season with a 13-11 record.
