Cary, N.C.- Boston College lost a close one against Virginia Tech on Thursday, 4-3. Although Virginia Tech took the doubles point, Boston College followed through with crucial victories in the singles competition.
Jessica Wacnik, fresh off of her victory vs. Jamie Loeb last Friday, downed Illinca Stoica, 6-3, 6-2.
Lexi Borr returned to play and didn't skip a beat, downing Francesca Fusinato, 7-5, 6-1.
Wan-Yi Sweeting has contributed a significant amount since her return, including a victory over Katherine Butler on Thursday afternoon (6-3, 7-5).
All three of the Eagles' losses went three rounds.
Boston College will finish their season with a 13-12 record.
