#3 Lacrosse Hosts #5 Duke Saturday

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - No. 3 Boston College (11-1, 4-1 ACC) hosts No. 5/4 Duke (11-1, 4-1 ACC) in the BC's Red Bandana Game on Saturday, April 4 at 1 p.m. The Eagles will be sporting special socks, headbands, and shooter tees in honor of Welles Crowther, a former BC lacrosse player who is credited with saving at least a dozen people in the south tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

Team Records
The No. 3 Boston College Eagles are 11-1 on the season heading into Saturday's matchup against the Blue Devils. BC is coming off a 16-12 victory over USC (Mar. 30).
The Eagles have defeated five ranked opponents this season. BC overcame No. 2/3 UNC in a thrilling 10-9 overtime victory on March 21. The Eagles also downed the No. 12 Louisville Cardinals in overtime (Mar. 12) and No. 14 Notre Dame (Mar. 7). BC notched a 10-9 upset over No. 2/3 Syracuse in their ACC opener (Feb. 28) and beat No. 18/17 Johns Hopkins, 9-5, in their season opener (Feb. 14). The Eagles suffered their only loss of the season to No. 5/7 Virginia, a 15-13 loss at home on March 28. Boston College is 4-1 in ACC play.
No. 5/4 Duke is 11-1 after a 13-6 victory over Davidson (Mar. 31). The Blue Devils recently defeated No. 7 Syracuse, 10-9, at home on March 28. Other Blue Devils' victories came in matchups against No. 5 Northwestern on Feb. 19 (15-9) and No. 16 Notre Dame on March 1 (17-3). Duke also tallied wins against Elon, Richmond, Navy, William & Mary, Virginia Tech, Georgetown and Louisville.
Duke's sole loss also came against No. 8 UVA, a 13-10 defeat at Klockner Stadium (Mar. 21). The Blue Devils are 4-1 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and 3-1 on the road.
Team Leaders
Senior attacker Covie Stanwick and junior midfielder Caroline Margolis lead the Eagles'offense with 48 points apiece. Stanwick has notched 32 goals and 16 assists so far this season. Margolis has scored 28 goals and recorded a team-high 20 assists. Senior midfielder Mikaela Rix is a close third with 47 points. Rix is tied for third in the nation with 40 goals so far this season. 
Senior attacker Kerrin Maurer leads the Blue Devils with 48 points on a team-high 26 goals and team-high 22 assists through 12 games. Fellow senior attacker Brigid Smith is second on the team with 35 points from 23 goals and 12 assists.

The Last Meeting & History
BC is 2-11 against Duke in the all-time series. The Eagles have defeated the Blue Devils in their last two meetings.
Last season, Boston College overcame Duke, 13-11, at Koskinen Stadium on April 15, 2014. Covie Stanwick and Sarah Mannelly led the Eagles with a game-high five goals each apiece.
