Fenway to Host 2015 Baseball Beanpot

Boston, Mass. - Fenway Park will host this year's Baseball Beanpot on Wednesday, April 22. Along with Boston Colleg,e the college baseball doubleheader will feature Harvard, Northeastern, and Massachusetts.
The day will begin with the consolation game at 3 p.m. followed by the Beanpot Championship game approximately 45 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1. Ballpark gates will open at 2 p.m.

Tickets are general admission and priced at $10 each. Net proceeds will benefit the Pete Frates No. 3 Fund, set up to help with the medical care and expenses for the former BC captain and director of baseball operations who is battling ALS. Frates is also the creator of the popular ice bucket challenge in 2014, which raised millions for ALS research.
BC, Northeastern and Harvard took part in the first Beanpot in 1990 and UMass joined in 1998. The Eagles own a 31-16-1 record in the annual tournament, which is the best among the four participants. BC has won 10 Beanpot titles with the latest one coming in 2011.
