Women's Golf Competes At Briar's Creek Invitational

JOHNS ISLAND, S.C. - The Boston College women's golf team finished in 17th place at the Briar's Creek Invitational held at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek from March 23-24, hosted by the College of Charleston.
The Eagles finished with a score of +51 (627) over the two rounds. Florida won the event by four strokes at +8 (584) while Texas Tech came in second at +12 (588). Miami rounded out the top three by finishing at +13 (589).
Senior Cristina McQuiston led five Boston College players at +9 (153). She had rounds of 78 and 75, which matched for best on the team. She led the Eagles with 28 pars which tied for fifth overall. Freshman Katie Barrand also shot a second round 75 and finished at +12 (156). She was one of five players in the tournament to record an eagle.
Freshman Jocelyn Chia notched rounds of 81 and 79 to finish at +16 (160). Senior Katia Joo finished at +17 (161) while freshman Katelyn Reynolds played the two rounds in +20 (164).
Boston College is back in action on April 2-3 at the Seton Hall Pirate Invitational.
