WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Boston College men's golf team placed 10th out of 30 teams at the Middleburg Bank Intercollegiate held at the Kingsmill Resort River Course from March 22-24, hosted by William & Mary.
The Eagles finished with a score of +40 over the three rounds (880). Radford won the event in a playoff after it and Loyola Maryland both finished at +19 (859). Missouri came in third place with a score of +25 (865).
Junior Nicholas Pandelena led Boston College by finishing tied for seventh at +3 (213). He led the tournament after a first round -3 (67). After shooting a +6 (76) in the second round, Pandelena finished the tournament with an even par round (70). He led BC with 35 pars.
Freshman Pat Hallisey finished tied for 17th after shooting +6 (216). He shot even par in his first and third rounds and scored +6 on day two. Senior John Jackopsic came in 54th place after tallying a +13 (223) in the tournament. His best round was an opening +2 (72).
Freshman Pat Albanesi recorded a three-day score of +19 (229) with his best round coming on day two at +4 (74). He tied for the best performance on par 3s with a 2.75 scoring average and three birdies. Sophomore Patrick Oleksak completed the tournament at +24 (234), scoring +8 (78) in all three rounds. He had the Eagles' only eagle of the tournament.
Boston College is back in action on April 18-19 for the Yale Spring Invitational in New Haven, Conn.
