Carpenter, Field Earn Hockey East Honors

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Boston College junior forward Alex Carpenter and senior forward Emily Field have been named Hockey East Co-Players of the Week, according to a release by the league Monday afternoon.
Carpenter capped a record-setting season by earning the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award on March 21. The North Reading, Mass. native is the first Boston College player to earn women's college hockey's highest honor.
The junior forward finished the season with a program record 81 points on 37 goals and 44 assists while topping the nation in every offensive category.
Fieldended her storied Boston College career by notching her 138th point with a goal in the NCAA semifinal game vs. #3 seed Harvard Friday evening. The senior captain'sthird-period tally was the Eagles' only goal of the game, cutting the Crimson lead to 2-1 late in the game.
Field's goal breathed new life into the #2 seeded BC squad, sending the Eagles on an offensive flurry against Harvard goaltender Emerance Maschmeyer.
