
Crowley Tabbed National Coach of the Year

Minneapolis, Minn. - Boston College women's hockey head coach Katie King Crowley has been named American Hockey Coaches Association Coach of the Year, while junior forward Alex Carpenter and senior defenseman Emily Pfalzer have been voted as First Team All-Americans.
Crowley collects the AHCA Coach of the Year award after leading the Eagles to their best ever record (34-2-2, 20-0-1 WHEA) and BC's fourth Frozen Four appearance in five years.
Under Crowley's tutelage, the Eagles earned their first-ever number one ranking in the national polls and their second straight Hockey East regular season title. She was also named Hockey East Coach of the Year.
Carpenter earns her second career All-America honor after tallying both a career and program-best 81 points on 37 goals and 44 assists this season. She leads the nation in all offensive categories: points, goals, game-winning goals, assists, and points per game.
The North Reading, Mass. native was also named Hockey East Player of the Year and is one of three players up for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award to be announced Saturday. Carpenter was named to the All-America Second Team as a sophomore in 2013.
Pfalzer collects her first All-America nomination after her record breaking season with the Eagles. The senior captain is third on the team with 42 points on eight goals and 34 assists. She was the first defenseman in BC history to reach 100 career points and ranks first in the nation among defensemen in points, assists, and points per game.
This is the most First Team All America representatives in Boston College history.
