Bryant University (10:30 a.m.)
Chestnut Hill, Mass.- Boston College hosted Bryan University Sunday morning. The Eagles would end up defeating the Bulldogs, 6-1.
In the doubles competition, we saw some new looking pairs. Jessica Wacnik was partnered with Sarah Dalton and won their match, 6-4. Lexi Borr partnered up with Wan-Yi Sweeting and won 6-2. Jennifer Ren and Heini Salonen battled it out between Bryant's Rosie Bird and Nina Luiggi, but would come out victorious, winning 7-5.
Up early heading into the singles competition, Boston College registered five out of six wins giving the Eagles a 6-1 victory.
Boston University (5 p.m.)
Chestnut Hill, Mass.- Boston College would host their second match of the day, third of the weekend, in hopes of going 3-0. They would defeat the visiting Boston University Terriors, 5-1.
Boston College got off to a quick start in the doubles competition as Jessica Wacnik / Lexi Borr (6-1) and Asiya Dair / Jennifer Ren (6-1) would come out victorious. The Eagles would end up winning four out of their five singles competitions, including a dominating performance by Katya Vasilyev (6-0, 6-1).
"Nice to get three wins this weekend," said head coach Nigel Bentley. "Our team played hard and we were focused. Everybody has been contributing and we had a lot of positive energy. I think we all are really looking forward to the next weekend against regional rival Brown and our ACC opener against Syracuse."
After going 3-0 this weekend, the Eagles' record has improved to 4-3. They will host Brown University this Friday, February 13, at 4:00 p.m.
