In the 1983 Tournament, the semifinal round was also pushed to Tuesday and was contested on Feb. 8. Boston College defeated Northeastern, 8-2, in the championship bout on Monday, Feb. 14. The Blizzard of 1978 also created a postponing, pushing the championship and consolation rounds of the 1978 Beanpot to Wednesday, March 1, 1978. The famous ‘blizzard games’ were played that Monday, Feb. 6, 1978.
The women’s Beanpot championship be staged at Harvard University is annually played on the first two Tuesdays of February. That tournament’s schedule hopes to remain intact. The women's team will take on Harvard on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 7:30 p.m.
