Five players reached double figures including 14 points apiece from freshman Ashley Kelsick, Katie Quandt and Marti Mosetti while sophomore Emilee Daley added 13 points and nine rebounds. Junior guard Nicole Boudreau chipped in with 11 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• The two teams were cold to start the half. BC held a 7-6 lead five minutes into the game on a layup by Emilee Daley. The Eagles took a 14-9 lead on a three by Ashley Kelsick with 10 minutes to play.
• The Eagles put together a 12-1 run to go up 10 with under six minutes to play. The run was sparked by two three's by both Kelsick and Daley.
• Clemson closed the gap at the buzzer when Shelbie Davenport hit her fourth three of the half - BC 34, Clemson 26.
• BC extended the halftime lead on five early points from Marti Mosetti.
• Turnovers came into play and Clemson slowly cut into the halftime lead as it was 10 points with less than 10 to play - 46-36.
• BC fouled Davenport with 7:35 to play - she was awarded three foul shots and hit all three to cut the BC lead to just six points. A three by Tiffany Lewis with 6:07 left cut the BC lead to three points.
• The Eagles rebounded as they ran off six straight point with a old fashion three-point play by Boudreau to spark the run - BC 57-47.
• A jumper by Mosetti, along with a steal by Daley which set up Ashley Kelsick for a lay-up and BC's lead was 11 points with under three to play.
• Kelsick and Mosetti scored the final five points for BC as Clemson had no answers for the rookie backcourt tandem.
