Brown, Skarupa Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Graduate student guard Aaron Brown (men's basketball) and junior forward Haley Skarupa (women's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Brown averaged 21.5 points in a pair of games last week. He scored a Boston College season-best 28 points against #10/9 Louisville on Wednesday, going 5-for-12 from beyond the arc and 10-for-22 from the floor overall. He then recorded 15 points against Clemson on Saturday. Brown shot .484 (15-for-31) from the floor in the two games and .444 (8-for-18) from 3-point land. He ranks eighth in the ACC in scoring.
Skarupa notched the game-winning goal vs. Northeastern Tuesday night to send No. 1 Boston College to their 15th Beanpot Championship game. The Rockville, Md. native's six game-winners are good for second in the nation. Skarupa continues her offensive prowess, ranking second nationally in points per game (2.12) and goals per game (0.96).
Men's basketball (9-11, 1-7 ACC) is at No. 10 Notre Dame Wednesday night and hosts No. 12 North Carolina on Saturday. Women's hockey (26-0-1, 17-0-0 WHEA) hosts Connecticut on Friday night at 7 p.m.
