Alison Quandt to be Inducted in Beanpot HOF

Chestnut Hill, Mass. - Current assistant coach and former Eagle netminder Alison Quandt will be inducted into the Beanpot Hall of Fame after Boston College faces Northeastern in Tuesday's Beanpot Semifinal at 5 p.m. As a senior captain, goaltender Quandt helped the Eagles to their first ever Beanpot Championship in 2006.
In the first round of the 28th annual Beanpot Tournament on Feb. 7, 2006, Quandt made 18 saves between the pipes to lead the Eagles to the championship game in a 4-3 overtime victory against Northeastern.
Quandt’s puck-stopping prowess continued in the championship game on Feb. 14, 2006 against No. 10 Harvard. The Wayland, Mass. native stopped 23 Crimson shots on the way to her second shutout of the season and the Maroon and Gold’s first ever Beanpot title.
The senior goaltender earned the Bertagna Award for her integral role in the Eagles’ Beanpot Championship run. Quandt’s part in bringing the championship title to The Heights seals her membership in Beanpot history.

For the 2005-06 season, Quandt had a .904 save percentage and 2.17 goals against average, good for tenth and seventh all-time in the BC record books, respectively.
As a senior, Quandt played in 28 games and racked up over 1660 minutes in goal for the Eagles. She finished the 2005-06 season with a 17-8-2 record while breaking several BC records, including best single-season (2.17) and career (2.83) goals against average.
Quandt is third in career goals against average with a 2.82 GAA and fourth in career save percentage by a BC goaltender with a 0.891. She also sits fifth in the record book for career saves with 1,485.
As a student-athlete, she received USCHO Defensive Player of the Week once, Hockey East Defensive Player of the Week seven times, Hockey East Player of the Week three times, and Hockey East Goalie of the Month in December 2005. As a freshman, Quandt won a Rookie of the Week honor once and Rookie of the Month for December 2002.. She was named to the Hockey East All-Academic team three times and received the Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement four times.
