BC HOSTS NC STATE SATURDAY
• Boston College will host NC State on Saturday at noon in the only game between the two teams this season.
• The game will be televised on Regional Sports Network/NESN with Wes Durham and Jason Capel on the call.
• The Wolfpack holds a 9-8 edge in the all-time series and has won each of the last six meetings, including a 78-68 victory last season at PNC Arena.
• Boston College has lost its last nine games, including aa 71-65 loss at Pittsburgh on Tuesday night.
• NC State enters the game having won its last three contests. It won at #15/18 North Carolina on Tuesday, 58-46.
• The Wolfpack also won at #9/8 Louisville on February 14, 74-65.
EAGLES FALL AT PITTSBURGH
• Junior Olivier Hanlan scored a season-high 39 points as Boston College lost at Pittsburgh, 71-65, on Tuesday night.
• It was Hanlan's fourth 30-point game in his last six outings. He was 10-for-20 from the floor and a perfect 14-for-14 from the foul line.
• His 14 free throws are the second most in the country this year without a miss.
• It was also the 12th most points scored in a game in the country this year.
• Graduate student Aaron Brown added 20 points, five assists and four rebounds.
• Pittsburgh scored 11 unanswered points early in the first to build a 22-12 lead.
• Another seven unanswered points gave the Panthers a 33-18 lead with 3:40 remaining in the half.
• Boston College closed out the half by scoring the final 10 points to cut its deficit to 35-30. Hanlan had five of the points and hit a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer.
• The teams traded buckets for a majority of the second half, but then Pitt went on a quick 9-4 run to open up a 66-58 lead with 2:34 to go in the game.
LAST TIME vs. NC STATE
• Olivier Hanlan scored 29 points to go along with five assists as BC lost at NC State, 78-68, on March 9, 2014.
• He was 10-for-17 from the floor and 7-for-8 from the foul line.
• NC State's T.J. Warren scored 42 points, going 14-for-23 from the field and 14-for-17 from the charity stripe. He also had 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals.
• Boston College had a 20-19 lead before NC State scored eight unanswered points to take a 27-20 advantage. T.J. Warren had four of the points in that span.
• The Eagles scored six of the next eight points to cut the deficit to 29-26 with 5:09 left in the first half.
• The Wolfpack finished the half with a 13-5 run to take a 42-31 lead at the break.
• BC scored 15 unanswered points early in the second half to take a 47-46 lead. Ryan Anderson had seven of the 15 points in that 4:47 span.
• With the Eagles on top, 58-56, NC State scored the next seven points and went on a 15-3 run to take a 71-61 lead with 1:37 left.
