Men's Hoops Takes On Florida State Tonight

BC TRAVELS TO FLORIDA STATE
• Boston College heads south to take on Florida State on Wednesday at 9 p.m.
• The game will be televised on the ACC Network with Bob Rathbun and Jason Capel on the call.
• Florida State has won the last two meetings between the two teams, including a 74-70 decision last season in Conte Forum.
• Boston College has lost its last six outings, most recently dropping a double overtime contest to Miami at Conte Forum, 89-86, on Monday.
• The Seminoles have won four of their last six games, including a 57-53 win at Georgia Tech on Saturday.
• Florida State is 10-5 at home this year while BC is 1-5 on the road.
EAGLES DROP 2OT GAME TO MIAMI
• Junior Olivier Hanlan scored a season-high 32 points while adding eight rebounds and four assists as Boston College lost to Miami in double overtime on Monday, 89-86.
• He only had one turnover in 49 minutes of play.
• Hanlan was 13-for-26 from the floor and also had three steals.
• Senior Patrick Heckmann recorded 13 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
• Sophomore Will Magarity matched a career high with 10 points, which all came in the
first half.
• Miami opened the game with a 10-4 run over the first five minutes.
• Boston College responded after the first media timeout with a 17-5 run to build a 21-15 lead with 8:37 left in the half. Magarity scored the first seven points of that stretch.
• The Eagles took a 30-28 lead into halftime.
• Boston College scored seven unanswered points to build a 54-47 lead with 8:27 to play in regulation.
• The Hurricanes responded with a 7-1 run to pull within a point.
• Brown hit a pair of free throws with 40 seconds left which tied the game at 66-66 and sent the game to overtime.
• BC held a 75-71 lead with 25 seconds left in the first overtime, but Miami battled back and Deandre Burnett hit a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left that sent it into the second overtime.
• The game was tied for the 15th time, 82-82, with 2:03 left in the second OT, then Miami scored the next five points to seal the win. Tonye Jekiri hit four free throws to help build the lead.
LAST TIME vs. FLORIDA STATE
• Olivier Hanlan led Boston College with 20 points, four assists and two steals as the Eagles lost at home to Florida State, 74-70, on March 4, 2014.
• Patrick Heckmann scored 13 points off the bench while adding six rebounds and three assists.
• The first half was tight the entire way with the largest lead being four by Florida State. The game was tied at halftime, 33-33.
• The Seminoles led in the second half, 55-52, but BC scored eight unanswered points to take a 60-55 lead.
• A quick 7-2 response by Florida State tied the game for the ninth time, 62-62, with 5:02 left in the game.
• Following a BC turnover, FSU burned some clock and then missed a shot. The Seminoles grabbed the offensive rebound and made a foul shot to make it 70-68.
• Another BC turnover on an inbounds gave Florida State the ball back. It converted 1 of 2 free throws for a 71-68 lead.
• Hanlan drove the lane for a quick layup and then FSU hit a pair of free throws with 12 seconds left to keep the lead at three.
• BC had two good looks from beyond the arc in its final possession, but neither connected and Florida State held on for the win.
