February 12, 2015 | Women's Hockey
Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Boston College women’s hockey commit Grace Bizal has been named one of five finalists for Minnesota’s 2015 Ms. Hockey Award. The accolade is presented to the top senior girls’ high school hockey player in Minnesota.
Bizal, a defenseman at Hopkins, has amassed 34 points on 25 goals and nine assists over 22 games through Feb. 11. The senior captain is Hopkins’ third leading scorer, posting nine multi-point games including three four-point performances.
The Minnetonka, Minn. native, along with Eagle goaltender Katie Burt, was a member of the U-18 U.S. National Team that won a Gold Medal at the 2015 IIHF World Championships on Jan. 12 in Buffalo.
Bizal’s consideration for the Ms. Hockey Award also factors in her outstanding off-ice acheivements. Bizal has compiled a 3.84 GPA while at Hopkins in addition to earning Bronze and Silver awards with Girl Scouts and accumulating vast volunteer experience.
The 2015 Ms. Hockey Award recipient will be honored at the Ms. Hockey Awards Banquet on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 11:30 CST at the RiverCentre in St. Paul, Minn.
