BC HIGHLIGHTS
The Eagles were led by Kelly Hughes with 14 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore Emilee Daley had 13 points and seven boards. Junior Nicole Boudreau added 13 points, five rebounds and four assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
• There were nine lead changes in the first half with five ties. BC was down as much as seven points at the 10 minute mark.
• Emilee Daley hit the first of her two three's followed by two from freshman Katie Quandt. The Eagles took the lead at 6:48 on a long three by Kelly Hughes.
• Nicole Boudreau gave BC a 34-32 on a three-pointer from the corner. The Eagles took the 36-34 lead at the half on a mid-range jumper by Hughes.
• UNC opened up the half with a three to go up, 39-36. The Eagles battled back as the two teams tied at 41-41 then against at 43-43 just four minutes into the half.
• BC built a five point lead with under 14 minutes left on a layup by Kat Cooper. The teams exchanged foul shots and with 11:48 to play, BC held a slim, 53-49, lead.
• UNC took the lead on Stephanie Muvunga's inside move with 10:55 to play. BC took the lead back at 8:39 on a three in the corner from Boudreau.
• BC went cold as the Eagles had three balls roll in and out, including two threes. BC was down, 67-60 with under two to play.
• In the final seven minutes of the game, BC could not hit a bucket. The Eagles went 0-12 from the floor as UNC pulled away. Nine of the 12 shots were three-pointers.
