Eagles Sign Pair of Golfers

Cavaliere, Butler to become Eagles

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College men's golf signed two student-athletes during the early signing period: Christian Cavaliere and Chris Butler.

Cavaliere, a product of Katonah, N.Y., is a senior at Somers High School. He is ranked 193^rd in the Polo Golf rankings and 389th overall in Golfweek. Cavaliere won the 2015 AJGA Philadelphia Junior and placed second in the Northern Junior Championship this past summer.

Butler, a senior at William H. Hall High School in West Hartford, Conn., finished third this summer in the Wampanoag Classic. Last year, he shot a final round 66 en route to co-medalist honors at a FCWT Qualifier at Bay Pointe Golf Club. He is a three-time all-conference high school golfer and received this year's John D. Mineck Award for embodiment of the principles and spirit of the late John D. Mineck, including outstanding sportsmanship, integrity, and camaraderie. His brother, Brian, is currently a senior on the golf team.
