Three Set to Join Women’s Tennis in 2016-17

Bentley adds three signees from among the nation’s top 100
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Three players – Dasha Possokhova, Elene Tsokilauri and Kylie Wilcox – have signed National Letters of Intent to play tennis at Boston College and will join the team for the 2016-17 season.
"We are thrilled to be adding three high quality and talented student athletes for next year," head coach Nigel Bentley said. "Kylie, Dasha and Elene possess all the characteristics that our team represents: they work very hard on the courts and in the classroom, they are extremely motivated and are very determined to succeed in the ACC. We're very excited to have the opportunity to be coaching them next year."
All three players are currently ranked among the nation's top 100 seniors.
Dasha Possokhova
Hometown: San Francisco, Calif.
High School: home schooled
Height: 5-7
Possokhova joins the Eagles out of San Francisco, Calif. Rated among the nation's top 60 recruits in the nation, she has multiple wins over blue-chip players and excels in doubles with two recent doubles tournament championships. In 2015, she played in the first position in both singles and doubles on Team Northern California's Under-18 team. Possokhova has earned Northern California's No. 1 rankings at the Girls 12, 16 and 18 levels, and ranking as high as No. 52 nationally in Girls 18s.
Elene Tsokilauri
Hometown: Newtown Square, Pa.
High School: Delaware County Christian Academy
Height: 5-11
Tsokilauri is a five-star recruit joining the Eagles from out of Newtown Square, Penn. She is ranked No. 86 among senior recruits nationally and second in in Pennsylvania. Tsokilauri has had a very successful junior career with highlights that include an 18-0 record senior year accompanied by championship run to the Pennsylvania state single championship during which she did not lose a set. Tsokilauri also reached a high of No. 22 in the USTA Girls 16's and was the No. 1 ranked Girls 16s player at the Middle States region.
Kylie Wilcox
Hometown: Greenwich, Conn.
High School: Laurel Springs School
Height: 6-0
Wilcox, from Greenwich, Conn., has been a five-star recruit for much of her junior career and ranked as high as No. 19 on the National Tennis RPI. Wilcox has been the champion or finalist in 17 national junior tournaments, including two singles championships - one each at the National L3 and L4 levels – and four doubles championships. Wilcox also has wins over players with Tennis RPI rankings as high as 3, 9 and 13.
