It's the latest honor for the record-breaking goalkeeper
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The accomplishments keep rolling in for Boston College goalkeeper Leah Settipane.
Earlier this week, the East Greenwich, R.I., native received an invitation to the USA Women's National Team open trial being held from January 4-6 at Spooky Nook Sports at the Home of Hockey in Lancaster, Pa.
It's just the latest honor for Settipane who recently polished off a record-breaking career at The Heights by helping the Eagles to a 13-9 mark and a trip to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinal during the fall. She led the ACC in both saves (135) and saves per game (6.14) while ranking second in the conference in save percentage (.763).
The Hotchkiss School alum finished her career as the winningest goalkeeper in Boston College history with 47 wins. She also ranks third all-time in the school record books in career saves (469) shutouts (15.1) while ranking sixth in goals against average (1.88) and ninth in save percentage (.750).
Settipane also earned NFHCA Division I All-American Second Team and NFHCA All-Northeast Region First Team honors for her play during the 2015 season.
