This year's camp will be held Dec. 27, 2015 through Jan. 1, 2016 at Schwan's Super Rink in Blaine, Minn. The annual Women's Winter Training Camp is a training session that is also used to select the 23-player roster for the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Women's World Championship. This year's world championship will be played March 28 through April 4 in Kamloops, British Columbia.
Â
Of the six current Eagles selected, four were members of the gold-medal winning team at the 2015 IIHF World Championships in Malmo, Sweden: Carpenter (alternate captain), Keller, Skarupa and Trivigno.

Carpenter has been a member of the national team since 2013 and also represented the U.S. at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. Keller, Skarupa and Trivigno all debuted with the full national team in 2014 at the Four Nations Cup.
Â
Flanagan is attending her second winter training camp, while Burt is making her camp debut with the senior national team. She is a former two-time medalist (silver in 2014, gold in 2015) with the Under-18 team at the IIHF World Under-18 Championships. Neither has made an appearance with the full national team.
Â
In addition to the six current Eagles called into camp, three alumnae were also selected: Emily Pfalzer '15, Kelli Stack '11 and Allie Thunstrom '10. All three players were most recently members of the U.S.' entry at the 2015 Four Nations Cup, which defeated Canada for the title.
Â
Of the 18 current college players named to the training camp roster, Boston College's six representatives tops all schools. Minnesota has three current players called in and North Dakota two. Seven schools will have one representative: Bemidji State, Harvard, Lindenwood, Mercyhurst, Northeastern, Quinnipiac and Wisconsin.
