Workman Tabbed To All-ACC Volleyball Second Team

Award honors successful career for BC senior

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Boston College senior outside hitter Katty Workman was named to the 2015 All-ACC Volleyball Second Team, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference Wednesday evening. The selection is the result of voting completed by the league's 15 coaches.
Workman is one of 14 members named to the All-ACC Second Team, which includes four players from Miami, two from Florida State and Louisville, and one player from Duke, Notre Dame, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Syracuse respectively.
The Thousand Oaks, Calif. native is in the midst of a very successful 2015 campaign which has seen her achieve several accolades. Earlier this season, Workman broke the Boston College all-time kills record of 1,449, previously held by former Eagle Kelsey Johnson (2004-07).
The two-year team captain is also atop the BC record book in kills per set (3.79), attack attempts (4,553), points (1803.5) and points per set (4.07). She also leads the all-time double-doubles record with 50, including nine this season.
Workman's career includes nods to the 2012 All-ACC Freshman Team as well as being named twice to the All-ACC Academic Team. She is a three-time recipient of the Boston College Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement.
