BC begins final road trip of season
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College volleyball travels to North Carolina for a pair of conference games with Wake Forest and Duke this weekend as the Eagles begin their final road swing of the season.

UP NEXT
With only four games remaining following this weekend, Boston College will be back on the road next weekend with games against Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech, two teams that the Eagles hosted at Power Gym earlier this season. BC will then host the final two games of the season at home on Nov. 25 and Nov. 27 against Louisville and Notre Dame.

- Since joining the ACC for the 2005 season, Boston College has faced Wake Forest 17 times, with the Demon Deacons having won 12 games.

- The Eagles have faced the Blue Devils 16 times dating back to 2005, when BC joined the ACC, and have lost the 15 of those matches, including the last three.
- BC's only win against Duke came in October 2012, when the Maroon and Gold won 3-0. Then Freshmen Katty Workman led with 21 kills while Franny Hock tallied 17 digs in the match.
- Duke is currently seventh in the conference with an 8-6 record and have split their last two games. Most recently, the Blue Devils defeated Clemson 3-0 last Sunday after falling to Georgia Tech by the same score two days prior.
- As a squad, Duke is first in digs (17.01/set), second in kills (14.54/set), third in assists (13.63/set) and fifth in hitting percentage (.244) among ACC teams.
- Senior Emily Sklar is fourth in kills with a 3.91 per set average while Maggie Deichmeister is third in assists, averaging 10.53 per set. Junior Sasha Karelov rounds out Duke accolades, as she leads all conference players with 4.91 digs per set.
GAME NOTES
- Katty Workman continues to lead the ACC with 3.99 kills per set. Workman is currently 11th in Division I for active career kills wtih 1,613 kills. There is only nine kills between the 11th place and 9th place, with individuals from Idaho St. and IUPUI.
- Brittany Pavich is currently third with her .383 hitting percentage (Min. 3.0 TA/Set)
- Mallori Moffat is 10th in the ACC, averaging 7.89 assists per set
- Junior Madisen Lydon's average of 3.79 digs per set is 10th best amongst ACC schools
- The ACC currently has three teams in the AVCA Top -25 with Florida State (20), Louisville (22) and North Carolina (25).
- Boston College is currently ranked 133 of 334 in RPI, which measures a team's wins and losses in addition to their strength of schedule. The ACC currently has six teams ranked in the top-50 of the RPI. Louisville is ranked at 19, Florida State at 21, North Carolina at 27, Miami (FL.) at 30, Pittsburgh at 43 and Virginia at 47.
