Two members of the women's hockey team will have a family reunion this weekend when the Michigan State men's hockey team faces the BC men on Friday night ... Andie Anastos' dad, Tom, is the Spartans' head coach, while Megan Keller's older brother Ryan is a senior forward on the team.
SPECIAL TEAMS STANDOUTS
This season, Boston College has been posting stand-out performances on special teams ... the Eagles rank second nationally in combined special teams, proving successful 53-of-84 attempts this season ... on the power play, BC ranks fourth nationally, converting 13-of-42 chances (31.8 percent) ... BC has scored at least one PPG in nine of the team's 12 games ... on the PK, the Eagles have killed 40-of-42 (95.2 percent) opponent chances with the man-advantage ... BC started the season 35-for-35 on the PK, but Boston University scored one PPG in each of the teams' games on Saturday and Tuesday.
POWER PLAY PRODUCERS
Several Eagles are among the national leaders in power-play scoring ... Alex Carpenter (4 PPG) is tied for the national lead in power-play goals, while Makenna Newkirk (3) is tied for third ... Megan Keller (2), Kenzie Kent (2) and Haley Skarupa (2) are tied for 12th nationally.
TRIVIGNO LATEST TO HIT THE CENTURY MARK
Dana Trivigno became the latest Eagle to hit the 100-point mark on her career ... her first-period goal against BU on Tuesday was her 100th career point ... she is the 12th player in BC history to reach that 100-point plateau ... Trivigno is the third player of the Class of '16 to reach 100 points.
CLASS OF ITS OWN
The Class of 2016 is the only graduating class in BC hockey history to claim three players who reached the 100-point mark as Alex Carpenter (220), Haley Skarupa (187) and Dana Trivigno (100) have all now reached the century mark ... prior to this, the Class of '15 had a pair of players to reach the 100-point mark: Emily Field (138) and Emily Pfalzer (102) ... NOTE: Carpenter matriculated at BC with the Class of 2015, but moved to the Class of 2016 after taking a leave of absence during the 2013-14 school year to play with Team USA at the Sochi Olympics.
SKARUPA HITS A CENTURY MARK, TOO
Also on Tuesday, Haley Skarupa became the third player in BC history to collect 100 career assists ... her set-up on Alex Carpenter's game-winning goal in overtime was the 100th assist of her career ... she now ranks third on the BC career charts behind Carpenter (113) and Kelli Stack '11 (111).
EAGLES STACKED ATOP HEA SCORING
A pair of Eagles enter the weekend tied atop the Hockey East (only) scoring charts ... Haley Skarupa (5-7-12) and Alex Carpenter (4-8-12) lead the league in scoring in HEA games ... additionally, Carpenter is now tied for second in HEA career scoring with 121 points (with Northeastern's Kendall Coyne '16 and BU/UNH's Jenn Wakefield '12), while Skarupa is seventh with 104 career points ... Carpenter is tied with Coyne for the conference's lead in career scoring among active players, while Skarupa is third.
