Wake Forest scored three goals early to take a 3-0 lead into the half

HOW IT HAPPENED

Krysta Wangerin put the Demon Deacons on the board first, sweeping in a loose ball in the 7th minute
Teammate Jess Newak capitalized two minutes later, scoring off Megan Anderson's penalty corner
Five minutes later in the 14th minute, Jule Grashoff made it 3-0, netting off the assist from Anderson
Junior Emily McCoy got one back for the Eagles, scoring off a nice pass from senior Romee Stiekema in the 38th minute
In the 58th minute, freshman Frederique pulled BC within one, making good on the pass from senior AshLeigh Sebia from close range

"We need to figure out a way to put two halves of hockey together. To go down 3-0 to a team like Wake in the first half just can't happen. Wake capitalized on their scoring opportunities and we didn't. Our decision-making and the inaccuracy of our passes at the start of the game really let us down, but the good thing is that they are things that we can fix."
