"We need to figure out a way to put two halves of hockey together. To go down 3-0 to a team like Wake in the first half just can't happen. Wake capitalized on their scoring opportunities and we didn't. Our decision-making and the inaccuracy of our passes at the start of the game really let us down, but the good thing is that they are things that we can fix."

- Junior Emily McCoy continued her stellar play, scoring her team-high seventh goal of the season
- Freshman Frederique Haverhals netted the first goal of her career
TURNING POINT
- Wake Forest scored three goals early to take a 3-0 lead into the half
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Krysta Wangerin put the Demon Deacons on the board first, sweeping in a loose ball in the 7th minute
- Teammate Jess Newak capitalized two minutes later, scoring off Megan Anderson's penalty corner
- Five minutes later in the 14th minute, Jule Grashoff made it 3-0, netting off the assist from Anderson
- Junior Emily McCoy got one back for the Eagles, scoring off a nice pass from senior Romee Stiekema in the 38th minute
- In the 58th minute, freshman Frederique pulled BC within one, making good on the pass from senior AshLeigh Sebia from close range
