Eagles Complete First Weekend of Competition

The Boston College Sailing Team competed in four different regattas during its opening weekend of competition starting September 12th.
The Eagles competed in the Penobscot Bay Open hosted by Maine Maritime up in Castine, Maine, in which they finished with 61 points in the A division, 65 points in the B division. With 126 points overall, the Eagles placed 10th out of the 15 teams.
Sailors also travelled across the Charles to Cambridge, MA to compete in the Tony Deutch Regatta hosted by MIT. There, the Eagles put up 144 points in the A division and 138 points in the B division for 282 points overall, finishing 12th out of 15.
Boston College also participated in the Harman Cup also hosted by Maine Maritime, where the Eagles A division team scored 39 points to finish 6th out of 8.
Finally, in the Eagles' fourth regatta, sailors went to New Haven, Connecticut, to participate in the Harry Anderson regatta. There, both the teams in the A and B divisions put up impressive scores of 72 and 100, respectively. The Eagles' total score of 172 was enough for a 2nd place finish out of the 18 teams competing.
