BC HIGHLIGHTS
- Freshman Elizabeth Dennehy scored her third goal of the season, while fellow rookie Frederique Haverhals notched her second goal of the season.
- Senior goalkeeper Leah Settipane had eight saves in the loss.
- Five goals were scored in the first half with Louisville scoring three unanswered after BC went up 2-0. The game-winning goal was scored in the 29th minute of the first half by r-sophomore Stephanie Byrne.
- Boston College scored on their first shot of the game at 16:55. Rookie Elizabeth Dennehy connected off a feed from Emily McCoy. It was McCoy's fifth assist of the season and first goal for Dennehy.
- Rookie Frederique Haverhals gave BC a 2-0 lead in the four minutes later. Off a corner, Haverhals placed the ball right on the stick of Leah Frome. Eryn McCoy's shot was tipped in by Haverhals for the Eagles two-goal lead.
- The momentum turned to Louisville at that point as Nicole Woods put the Cardinals on the board at 25:04. Two minutes later Woods struck again to tie the game
- Louisville's leading scorer Stephanie Byrne scored the game-winner in the 29th minute. She now has seven goals.
SOUND BITES
- "Credit to Louisville for the internal drive to win and their ability to come back after we went up 2-0. We didn't excute the game plan, we came out flat and you can't do that ... let alone in the ACC ... or any Division 1 team,'' said BC Head Coach Kelly Doton.
