Crowley Looks Ahead to Start of Hockey East Play

Eagles' head coach also talks about the play of the freshmen and the impact of her Olympians on the program
The No. 2 Boston College women's hockey team opens Hockey East play this weekend when the team hosts Maine on Saturday and New Hampshire on Sunday at Kelley Rink. Head coach Katie Crowley talks about how the series last weekend against St. Lawrence helped prepare the team for the start of conference play and what she expects from the Black Bears and Wildcats. Crowley also addresses the play of freshmen Makenna Newkirk and Grace Bizal, both of whom have seen a lot of ice time to start the year. Additionally, she touches on Kali Flanagan's emergence and how Olympians Kelli Stack '11 and Alex Carpenter have helped raise the level of the BC program.
