DeFlavio Named Skiing Coach

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Ben DeFlavio, a 2014 graduate of St. Lawrence, has been named head coach of the Boston College skiing team, announced today by Director of Athletics Brad Bates.
DeFlavio was a four-year member of the alpine skiing team at St. Lawrence, earning four top-20 finishes in his career. Two of those top 20s came as a junior in 2013 which put him into consideration for a berth to the NCAA Championship. His highest career finish was 10th at the St. Lawrence Carnival in 2013. DeFlavio served as team captain and was the Most Valuable Player of the team as a freshman.
DeFlavio, who hails from Waitsfield, Vt., coached with Pinnacle Ski Racing in France in the summer of 2014. He guided the FIS men's group and organized activities to help enhance performance on the slopes.
