Burt, Hanlan Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Freshman goaltender Katie Burt (women's hockey) and junior guard Olivier Hanlan (men's basketball) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Burt earned Hockey East Defensive Co-Player of the Week honors after recording two shutouts against Vermont last weekend. Burt's two shutout performances came in her first game appearances since winning a gold medal with Team USA in the IIHF U-18 World Championships. She made a combined 34 saves in the two wins versus the Catamounts. The Lynn, MA product ranks second nationally in save percentage (.951)
Hanlan averaged 17.5 points, 7.0 assists and 3.0 rebounds as Boston College went 1-1 last week. He also shot .467 from the field (14-for-30). Hanlan recorded game highs with 17 points and eight assists in a 64-57 overtime win over Harvard - BC's first win over the Crimson since 2005. He then added 18 points and six assists in a 66-51 loss to #2/2 Virginia. In ACC action, Hanlan ranks fourth in assists (5.00), sixth in scoring (18.0) and eighth in assist to turnover ratio (2.78).
#1 women's hockey (22-0-1, 15-0-0 WHEA) will host Quinnpiac on Saturday at 2 p.m. Men's basketball (8-9, 0-5 ACC) is at Georgia Tech on Sunday at 1 p.m.
