Cambridge, Mass. – Members of the Boston College women’s track and field competed at the Harvard Multi-Meet on Friday, Jan. 16. Redshirt junior Kristen McDonagh was the Eagles' high finisher, coming in 15th overall with a combined score of 2808 in the pentathlon.

McDonagh ran the 60-meter hurdles in 9.63 for 783 points, and posted a  best of 1.60m in the high jump for 763 points. Her throw of 9.05m in the shot put gave her 467 points, and her leap of 4.53m in the long jump added 436 points. For the final event of the pentathlon, McDonagh completed the 800m in 2:57.80 for 386 points. 

Freshman Anna Atkinson

Freshman Anna Atkinson earned a combined 2460 points in the pentathlon, good for 18th place overall. Atkinson finished the 60-meter hurdles in 9.57 seconds for 794 points. She posted a jump of 1.39m (502 points) in the high jump, a throw of 8.47m (430 points) in the shot put, and fouled out in long jump. In the final event of the pentathlon, McDonagh ran the 800m in 2:26.80 for 734 points.

The women’s track and field team is back in action on Jan. 22 at Boston University.
