EAGLES HOST HARVARD IN FINAL NON-CONFERENCE CONTEST
• Boston College will host local rival Harvard on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. in Conte Forum.
• The game will be televised on ESPN3 with Bob Picozzi and Malcolm Huckaby on the call.
• The Eagles have lost three straight and four of their last five. They have lost a couple of close ACC games in their last two outings, including a 60-56 loss at Miami on Saturday.
• Harvard has won its last three games, including a 57-46 win at Dartmouth on Saturday in its Ivy League opener.
• The Crimson has won the last six games in this series.
• BC is 6-2 at Conte Forum this year.
EAGLES' COMEBACK FALLS SHORT AT MIAMI
• Boston College battled back from 13 down in the second half, but its comeback fell short as Miami held on for a 60-56 win on Saturday at the BankUnited Center.
• Junior Olivier Hanlan led all scorers with 19 points while adding four rebounds and four assists.
• Senior Eddie Odio scored a career-high 13 points in his last game in his hometown of Miami. He also had six rebounds.
• Graduate student Aaron Brown added five points, seven rebounds and four assists.
• Miami scored seven unanswered points in the early going to take a 10-5 lead.
• The Hurricanes held an 18-14 advantage and then went on a 9-0 run over 3:40 to build a 27-14 lead.
• Hanlan then sparked a personal 7-2 run to close out the half to pull the Eagles to within 29-21 at the break.
• Graduate student Dimitri Batten drained a 3-pointer for the second half's first points to cut the deficit to 29-24, but Miami went on a 10-2 run over the next 5:54 to build a 39-26 lead with 12:37 left. Angel Rodriguez scored Miami's first 10 points of the second half.
• With Miami up 41-29, Boston College went on a 21-9 run to tie the game, 50-50. It was just the second tie of the game with the other coming at 5-5.
• BC hung the rest of the way but could never gain a lead.
• With eight seconds left and down, 59-56, BC missed a 3-pointer out of a timeout and Miami hit a free throw on the other end to seal the win.
LAST SEASON vs. HARVARD
• Ryan Anderson recorded 17 points and nine rebounds as Boston College lost at Harvard, 73-58, on New Year's Day at Lavietes Pavilion.
• It was the first time the Eagles had played at Lavietes since 1991.
• Anderson was 6-for-12 from the floor. Olivier Hanlan scored 13 points and Eddie Odio matched a then-career high with 11 points.
• Harvard started the game with an 8-1 run and led 10-6 before breaking the game open. Seven unanswered points turned into a 23-7 run over 9:38 to build a 33-13 lead with 3:17 left in the half. BC responded with seven unanswered of its own and then Joe Rahon scored the last five points of the half to cut the halftime deficit to 39-25.
• BC came out with the momentum in the second half and started with a 12-4 run to cut the lead to 43-37. Hanlan and Rahon combined for eight of the 12 points. The Eagles stayed within striking distance and brought the Harvard lead down to 56-51.
• The Crimson responded with seven unanswered points to build the lead back to 63-51 with five minutes left and BC was unable to get it within single digits again.
