Calnan, Pfalzer Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore forward Chris Calnan (men's hockey) and senior defender Emily Pfalzer (women's hockey) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Calnan continued his breakout campaign with his third two-goal performance of the season in the 4-2 win over Northeastern on Saturday. One of the two scores was a short-handed tally midway through the second stanza. Calnan has accounted for seven points in his last five outings (5-2-7). The Norwell, MA product leads the Eagles with 10 goals and is third with 15 points.
Pfalzer earned Hockey East Co-Defenseman of the Week honors after her play in the Eagles' 4-3 victory over No. 4 Boston University. She assisted on three of the four BC goals, including Tori Sullivan's third period game-winner. In Sunday's 9-1 win vs. Northeastern, Pfalzer notched a goal and two assists. The Getzville, NY product is ranked fifth nationally in points per game (1.67) and is the only defenseman ranked in the top 15 in that category. Pfalzer is also second in the country in assists per game (1.39).
Men's hockey (12-7-2, 4-4-0 HEA) has road games at Boston University (Friday) and Maine (Sunday) this weekend. Women's hockey (20-0-1, 13-0-0 WHEA) will play a pair of games at Vermont on Saturday and Sunday.
