Boston, Mass - Today, the Boston College women’s cross country team hosted the second annual Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown at Franklin Park. This year’s field was stellar, and included top-ranked team, Michigan, who did not disappoint, finishing first with 55 points. However, the race of the day went to senior runner for the BC Eagles, Liv Westphal, who placed first by 21 seconds and clocked a time of 16:30.0 in the women’s 5K. This time is a new meet record. Though the meet is only two years old, Westphal’s time will hold up as one of the best times in the past decade on this course.
