Coach Campbell Discusses The Weekend, Upcoming ACC Play
September 22, 2014 | Volleyball
Chestnut Hill, Mass. -
Head Volleyball Coach Chris Campbell discusses what his team needs to do to win the close matches after losing two matches by a mere two points in the final sets the past weekend. He stated that it won't take major changes to turn the losses into wins, but that his team needs to recognize when to push hard in the set to secure the win. He is confident in the team's fundamentals, such as serving and passing. He also commented on the increase in set distribution over the past few weeks.
The Eagles are currently 5-6 after losses to Northeastern and Harvard. He is expecting big crowds and good environments at the upcoming ACC matchups this weekend. Campbell places importance on continuous improvement as opposed to putting extra pressure on the team as conference play begins.
Campbell and his squad square off against new ACC opponent Louisville in Kentucky on Friday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. The Eagles then head to Pittsburgh on Sunday, September 28 to face the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. The BC vs. Pitt game will be televised on ESPN3.
