Women's Cross Country Earns Northeast Preseason No. 2

Northeast Regional Poll
The women’s cross country team is also ranked No. 17 nationally according to the USTFCCCA preseason coaches’ poll. Three other ACC teams rank in the top 20 including Syracuse (No. 13), Virginia (No. 10), and Florida St. (No. 3).
National Poll
Senior Liv Westphal, who earned All-American honors last season, returns for the Eagles ranked No. 17 in the preseason individual poll. Westphal currently ranks third on BC’s all-time indoor 3000-meter list (9:16.35), which is also a French U23 national record, and fifth on the all-time outdoor 5000-meter list (16:22.69).

Chestnut Hill, Mass. – Boston College women’s cross country has earned the No. 2 spot in the Northeast Regional preseason poll. In 2013, women’s cross country finished fifth in the Northeast Region. Joining BC in the top five is fellow ACC member Syracuse (No. 1), Providence (No.3), Dartmouth (No. 4), and Cornell (No. 5).
