Women's Hockey 2014-15 Schedule Announced

"I'm really happy with our schedule for this year. We play a strong contingent of top end conference and non-conference teams which will help us see where we stand nationally. I'm very excited for Hockey East to be one of the top leagues in the country again,” said head coach Katie Crowley.
“We are very excited to get the season underway. We have a fantastic group of student athletes who are eager to hit the ice wearing the maroon and gold,” said associate head coach Courtney Kennedy.
The Eagles kick off the season at home when they host Syracuse Saturday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at Kelley Rink. BC travels down to New York the following weekend to play two against St. Lawrence Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 11 at 3 p.m.
Boston College plays its first conference game of the year at New Hampshire Sunday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. BC then plays host to elite regional opponent Cornell, who advanced to the NCAA Tournament elite eight in its 2013 campaign. The Eagles play two against the Big Red on Friday Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 25 2 p.m.
The following weekend, Boston College splits a series with league opponent Providence. The puck drops at 7 p.m. on Friday Oct. 31 at Kelley Rink. The Eagles then make the trip to Rhode Island for a Saturday, Nov. 1 contest at 7 p.m.
BC continues its streak of Hockey East play at Northeastern Saturday, Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. and against Vermont at Kelley Rink Sunday Nov. 9 at 2 p.m.
The next two weekends feature split series with New Hampshire and Connecticut. UNH travels to Chestnut Hill Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. before the Eagles play at Whittemore Center Arena in Durham Nov. 16 at 3 p.m. BC faces off against the Huskies at home Friday Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. The Eagles then journey to UConn Saturday Nov. 22 at 3 p.m.
Rounding out November’s schedule are games at Yale Tuesday Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. and against Harvard, who made a run in the NCAA Tournament last year, Friday Nov. 28 at 2 p.m.
Boston College plays two games in December before the break. The Eagles travel to Maine Friday, Dec. 5 to face off against the Bears at 5 p.m. On Wednesday, Dec. 10, BC plays at Dartmouth at 7 p.m.
BC hosts cross-town rival Boston University twice during the season. In 2013, both Boston College and Boston University advanced to the elite eight round of the NCAA Tournament. The first matchup against BU is Wednesday, Jan. 7 at 7 p.m. The Terriers return to Conte Forum Thursday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. After Quinnipiac and Princeton come to town, the Eagles close out the series against Providence at Schneider Arena Friday, Jan 30 at 7 p.m.
The 37th Annual Beanpot highlights February’s lineup. Boston College returns to the battle of Boston at Harvard as defending champions. This year’s dates for the tournament are Tuesday, Feb. 3 and Tuesday, Feb. 10.
The Eagles finish out their series with UConn in a Friday night contest on Feb. 6 with a puck drop of 7 p.m.
Before entering into the Hockey East Tournament, Boston College plays two-game series against Maine on Feb. 13-14 and BU on Feb. 19 and Feb. 21.
The Hockey East best-of-three quarterfinals are slated for Feb. 27-28 at 7 p.m. with a potential deciding game on Mar. 1 if necessary. The Hockey East semifinal and final are scheduled for Mar. 7-8.
NCAA Tournament play commences Mar. 13-14 with the quarterfinal before the Frozen Four travel to Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minn. for the semifinal and final Mar. 20 and Mar. 22.
