Men's Hoops To Face New Mexico In Puerto Rico

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College men's basketball team will face New Mexico on November 20 at 5 p.m. on ESPN2 in the first round of the 2014 Puerto Rico Tip-Off.
It will be the second meeting all-time between the two programs. New Mexico won the first matchup in 2011 at the 76 Classic in Anaheim, 75-57. The Lobos went 27-7 last year and advanced to their third-straight NCAA Tournament after winning the Mountain West Conference tournament for the third consecutive season.
The Eagles will face either George Mason or West Virginia in the next round of the tournament on November 21.
The tournament also features the College of Charleston, Connecticut, Dayton and Texas A&M.
Previous winners of the Puerto Rico Tip-Off include: Miami (2007), Xavier (2008), Villanova (2009), Minnesota (2010), Alabama (2011), Oklahoma State (2012) and Charlotte (2013).
