Men's Hockey Suffers a Loss

NANTUCKET ISLAND, Mass. - Corey Griffin, member of the 2006-07 Boston College men's hockey team, died in an accident on Nantucket Island the morning of Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014.

"We were extremely shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Corey," head coach Jerry York said. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends."

The Hingham, Mass., native and Scituate resident was a freshman on the Eagles' 2006-07 squad before transferring to Babson College the following year.
