Former Boston College men's soccer standout Alejandro Bedoya has emerged as a strong candidate for the United States team in the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
Soccer America profiled Bedoya's solid season in France's Ligue 1 and his chances to make the U.S squad. Below is a quick excerpt:
Just a year ago, Bedoya was not a national team regular, but Jurgen Klinsmann started him for the last six matches on fixture dates - the only player to start every match when all players were available for selection.

Bedoya was a star on the pitch for the Eagles during the 2007 and 2008 seasons. He was a two-time All-American and was named the ACC Offensive Player of the Year in 2007. Bedoya was also named to the All-ACC First Team in both seasons.
