Sailing Picks Up NEISA Weekly Honors

Raul Rios and his crew Shelby Hamilton and Alex Palfrey were named Co-Sailors of the Week by the NEISA.

The Boston College sailing team earned NEISA weekly honors for the second consecutive week. Junior Raul Rios and crews Shelby Hamilton, a senior, and Alex Palfrey, a freshman, led the Eagles to victory at the Southern New England Team Race and are NEISA's Coed Sailors of the Week.

With the top five teams tied after the first round robin, the regatta came down to the final six round robin sailed in chilly, windy conditions on Sunday. Rios, Hamilton and Palfrey had been strong throughout the regatta. The team remained consistent and went 4-1 in the final six races to earn the overall regatta victory.
