BC BACK ON THE ROAD AT WAKE FOREST
• Boston College travels down to Winston-Salem on Saturday to take on Wake Forest at 4 p.m. in Lawrence Joel Coliseum.
• It will be the only meeting this season between the two teams. • Last season, the Eagles went 4-1 in the month of March to close out the season. They won the last three games of the regular season and then went 1-1 in the ACC Tournament.
• BC has lost seven of its last eight outings and is coming off a 66-59 loss to Pittsburgh at home on Wednesday night.
• Wake Forest just snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 62-57 win against Clemson on Tuesday night at home.
• The Demon Deacons are 13-3 at Lawrence Joel Coliseum this season.
BC LOSES TO PITT AT HOME
• Sophomore Olivier Hanlan scored a game-high 25 points (including his 1,000th) as Boston College lost to Pittsburgh on Wednesday night, 66-59, at Conte Forum.
• Hanlan became the 41st player in Boston College history to reach 1,000 points. He is just the third player to do it in his sophomore season.
• Junior Patrick Heckmann scored 15 points for the second game in a row. He added four rebounds.
• Boston College started the game with a quick 7-2 run, but Pittsburgh responded with a 21-4 run over the next six minutes to build a 23-11 lead.
• The Pitt lead reached as many as 15 points with 5:24 left, but the Eagles brought the deficit down to 35-26 at the break.
• With the Panthers leading 42-29, BC scored eight unanswered points over 2:15 to cut the lead to 42-37.
• Hanlan brought the Eagles closer, to 49-45 with 8:51 left, with a pair of free throws. Pitt's Talib Zanna scored the next four points in the game to build the advantage back up to 53-45.
• BC never got closer than five points the rest of the way.
LAST TIME AT LAWRENCE JOEL COLISEUM
• Lonnie Jackson scored a season-high 23 points as Boston College lost at Wake Forest, 75-72, on January 12, 2013.
• Jackson made four 3-pointers, but C.J. Harris' career-best 29 points on 10 of 13 shooting was too much in the Demon Deacons' victory.
• Olivier Hanlan added 18 and Ryan Anderson had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Boston College, which trailed by as many as 12 points in the second half.
• The Demon Deacons expanded their lead to 60-48 with 9:29 left in the second half on Arnaud William Adala Moto's layup, and still led by 10 points with five minutes remaining when the Eagles began their comeback.
• Boston College cut Wake Forest's lead down to one point twice in the final two minutes, the last at 73-72 on a pair of Joe Rahon free throws with 1:28 remaining. With a chance to take the lead, Rahon missed a heavily contested layup with 5 seconds left.
• Harris hit a pair of free throws with 4.2 seconds remaining to push the Demon Deacons' lead to three points, and Hanlan missed a guarded 3-point attempt at the buzzer.
