EAGLES HOST USC FOR FIRST TIME
• Boston College will host USC for the first time in program history on Sunday at 4 p.m. inside Conte Forum.
• The game will be televised on ESPNU with Bob Picozzi and Tim Welsh on the call.
• The two teams met for the first time in the regular season last year in Los Angeles with the Trojans earning a 78-62 win.
• The Eagles have won the first four games of their six-game December homestand. They defeated Binghamton last Sunday, 63-49.
• USC had its five-game winning streak come to an end last Saturday when it lost to Army at home, 85-70.
• The Trojans' lone away game was a 66-54 win at New Mexico on November 30.
• BC also beat the Lobos earlier in the year, 69-65.
BINGHAMTON HIGHLIGHTS
• Graduate student Dimitri Batten scored a game-high 18 points on 6-for-12 shooting. It was his fourth-straight game with double figures.
• Classmate Aaron Brown added 16 points and it was also his fourth-consecutive game with 10 or more points.
• Junior Olivier Hanlan recorded 14 points and five rebounds.
• Senior Patrick Heckmann had six points and team highs with eight rebounds and three steals.
• Boston College scored 10 unanswered points early in the first half to build an 18-7 lead that it would never relinquish.
• Boston College had advantages in fast break points (14-2) and points off turnovers (19-8).
LAST TIME vs. USC
• Joe Rahon recorded 11 points, nine assists and six rebounds as Boston College lost at USC, 78-62, on December 8, 2013 in the Galen Center.
• KC Caudill set career highs with 11 points and five rebounds. Ryan Anderson led the team with 13 points.
• Boston College opened the game on an 11-4 run over the first 4:11. Anderson and Rahon combined for the 11 points and BC's California players scored the first 13. USC settled in and eventually tied the game, 20-20, midway through the half.
• BC responded with five-straight points, but then the Trojans responded with seven unanswered of their own to take its first lead with 3:45 left. D.J. Haley started the run with an and-one on a layup. Rahon hit a runner as time expired to tie the game, 32-32, at halftime.
• The Trojans started the second half on an 11-3 run to take a 43-35 lead at the 17:20 mark. The Eagles never cut the game to one possession the rest of the way.
• USC had five players in double figures, led by Julian Jacobs with 16 points. He also had eight rebounds and five assists. Nikola Jovanovic had 15 points while Pe'Shon Howard and Roschon Prince had 14 apiece.
STREAKS
• Boston College has won four-straight games for the first time since December of 2012. It did not win three straight last season.
• The Eagles are 5-0 at Conte Forum to start the year which is the best start since the 2008-09 season.
• It is also the first time BC has won five of its first nine games since 2010-11 - the last time it made a postseason appearance.
