Women's Basketball To Host UNH on Sunday

The Boston College women's basketball team will host New Hampshire on Sunday, Dec. 14 at Conte Forum. Fans can view the game online at www.bceagles.com at 4 p.m. Tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door.
Boston College is coming off a tough, 80-64, loss at Holy Cross on Wednesday night. The Eagles were led by junior Nicole Boudreau with 24 points as she hit 6-of-8 from beyond the arc.
BC vs. UNH
The will be the 23rd meeting between Boston College and New Hampshire. The Eagles lead the overall series, 15-8. BC has won the last eight meetings between the two teams.
The first game between BC and New Hampshire took place on Jan. 26, 1977. BC Lost, 71-36, at the Roberts Center on the campus of Boston College. BC’s first win over UNH came on Nov. 28, 1984, 80-54, behind then-rookie Ann Odoy’s 18 points.
Last season, Kat Cooper led BC to a 65-40 victory with 21 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the three-point line. Kelly Hughes added 14 points and eight boards while Kristen Doherty had 11 points and seven rebounds.

On Dec. 14, 2008, Boston College defeated FIU, 93-65 behind 23 points from Mickel Picco and 19 points from Carolyn Swords. Swords also had 11 rebounds while Brittanny Johnson added nine points and seven assists. BC improve to 7-2 with the win and finished the season with 23-12 record.
TEAM NOTES
· Nicole Boudreau and Kelly Hughes are the only two players on the roster to start every game this season.
· Kelly Hughes has scored in double-figures in seven of nine games. She has led the Eagles in scoring six times this season. Hughes is 80th in the country in free throw percentage (86.1%) and 34th in 3-pointers made per game. She is 92nd in 3-point field goal percentage (39.4%).
· Nicole Boudreau hit a season-high six three-pointers vs. Holy Cross on Dec. 10. Boudreau is now shooting 45 percent from long range, which is 49th in the country. She is also 43rd in the country in three-pointers per game.
· The Eagles are 26th in the country in assists per game (17.0). BC is 10th in the country in 3-pointers per game and 29th in 3-point field goal percentage (38.1%).
· As a class, the Eagles rookies have started 17 combined starts. Ashley Kelsick has seven starts, while Martina “Marti” Mosetti has five starts. Center Katie Quandt has started four times while Rachel Gartner earned her first start on Wed. at Holy Cross.
