Calnan, Westphal Named Eagles of the Week

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Sophomore forward Chris Calnan (men's hockey) and senior Liv Westphal (women's cross country) have been named Eagles of the Week.
Calnan scored a pair of goals for BC in its 5-3 win over Massachusetts on Friday night. He recorded his first-career two-goal game and each variety of goal was also a first for the sophomore. Calnan scored his first-career power play late in the first period while his strike midway through the third period stood as BC's game-winning goal, also a career first.
In Saturday's NCAA D1 Cross Country Championships in Terre Haute, Ind., Westphal was the first Eagle to cross the finish line, completing the 6K LaVern Gibson Course in 20:37.4. Westphal's finish was good for 30th place overall in a field of 255 runners. With her 20:37.4 finish, Westphal earned All-American honors for the second consecutive year.
Men's hockey (7-5, 3-3 Hockey East) hosts Minnesota on Friday night before traveling to Providence on Saturday. Cross country has completed its 2014 season.
