NOTES FROM LAST NIGHT
- Jerry York is now the winning coach of all-time in Boston College history, claiming his 502nd win on The Heights in his 21st as head coach at BC.
- Chris Calnan not only recorded his first-career two-goal game, each variety of goal was also a first for the sophomore. Calnan scored his first-career power play late in the first period while his strike midway through the third period stood as BC’s game-winning goal, also a career first.
- Freshman defenseman Noah Hanifin registered his first-career three-point performance as an Eagle. The Norwood, Mass., native has dominated UMass as his first-career multi-point performance occurred in the form of two assists against the Minutemen on Oct. 25. Hanifin’s second-career goal coupled with two assists marks a season.
- Quinn Smith logged his seventh-career two-point performance with a goal and an assist on Friday night. The last time Smith registered a pair of points was at Northeastern on Nov. 2, 2013.

MAPPING OUT MAINE
Maine fell to Boston University 3-2 last night at Agganis Arena in overtime. Ben Hutton (Prescott, Ontario) gave Maine a 1-0 lead at 7:33 of the first period. Cam Brown (Natick, Mass.) had a shot that BU netminder Matt O’Connor saved, but the rebound went right to Hutton in the left face-off circle. Maine added to its lead just 56 seconds into the second period with a short-handed goal. From neutral ice, Devin Shore deflected the puck to Connor Leen, who falling to the ice, had his shot go just inside the goalpost. The Black Bears took the 2-0 lead to the third period. Ahti Oksanen converted a pass from Jack Eichel at 4:50 of the third period to put the Terriers on the board. Matt Lane tied the game at 9:03 with his second goal of the season, before Eichel won it with a power play goal in overtime. Boston University outshot Maine 36-28 in the game. The Black Bears were scoreless on four power play opportunities, while Boston University converted on one of its four chances. Sean Romeo made a career-high 33 saves in the game. He falls to 1-5-0. Matt O’Connor stopped 26 shots for second ranked Boston University and improves to 6-1-0. Maine is led by Cam Brown who has five goals and five assists for 10 points on the season. Steven Swavely has two goals and six assists for eight points. Devin Shore is adding four goals and three assists for seven points. Blaine Byron is chipping in with seven points as well on three goals and four assists. Leen has four goals and two assists for six points. Hutton has two goals and three assists for five points. Brian Morgan and Liam Pecararo each have a goal and three assists for four points. Conor Riley also has four points via four assists. Malcolm Hayes has two goals and one assist for three points. Jake Rutt and Eric Schurhamer each have a goal and two assists for three points, while Nolan Vesey has three points via three assists. Matt Morris has played in seven games in goal and is 2-3-1 on the season with a 3.02 goals against average and a .899 save percentage. Sean Romeo has seen action in six games and is 1-5-0 with a 3.13 goals against average and a .900 save percentage.
